Love Fits Anywhere...+1!

I haven't posted here in a while, but A LOT has happened in the last 9+ months.

Baby #2
I became pregnant with our second child in July! Claire was officially going to be a big sister in March 2015!
Team Green turned......
BLUE!
Welcome to the world, Trevor Vincent!
Born March 4th, 2015
9lbs 7oz, 22 inches
He's such a good baby and Claire is being a good big sister. We are blessed!

Now, let's see how 2 kids in a 2 bedroom, 850 square foot apartment is going to work out...

Small Kitchen Organization

Counter space is everything when it comes to a small kitchen. Over the door organizers, hidden storage and vertical organization are your best friend. When it comes to apartment living, it can get a little bit more tricky since you try your hardest to not put holes in the wall.

This is our kitchen in our new apartment. Our last apartment had upgraded appliances and a hanging microwave above the stove. Now that we had to buy a microwave, we even have less space on our counter. Which means, I need to find creative ways to find space.

Since we don't have an entryway closet, this would be perfect to put our keys, wallet and mail for the day. I'm really bugged by how much mail we get. It gets really annoying at some points. One way to get rid of mail is to start going paperless with bills, and go online to enter your address on a no-mail list. This is a great site to do so: https://www.catalogchoice.org. It's free, and I just signed up a week ago and already see a difference.

If you find that your space constrained, you might need to decide to get rid of something- whether it's that mixer you got for your wedding that you've used once, or some Tupperware that's getting dingy.

One strategy that I try to do is go through each room every 3-4 months, and go through every.single.item. Ask yourself, "Is this something that's necessary/needed for my family/ me?", "Have I used this item in the last 6 months?" If you answer no to those questions, then it's time to toss, donate or sell.

Julep Maven Review #2

This is my 2nd review for Julep- a monthly subscription for nail polish. I received the Nautical By Nature Welcome Box, used the code SHIPSHAPE, and paid only 2.99$. In this box I got 3 nail polishes, a duo eyeliner and a lip gloss

The 3 nail polishes I received were Kennedy, Michelle and Sheila.
Kennedy- A Kahki creme
Michelle- A Midnight, inky blue creme
Sheila- Cherry pie red creme (yum!)

"Kennedy" on my nails

The lip gloss I received is called "Enchanted"- a sheer watermelon gloss. I'm normally not the type to wear lip gloss, but this one was amazing. It went on smooth, and it's not sticky. It smells super good too- like vanilla. This is definitely my summer staple.
The eyeliner was really nice too. It was a duo eyeliner, with a shimmer brown at one end, and black at the other. It came with a sharpener too. I tried on the brown shimmer, and it went on pretty smooth. I like the automatic ones just because I haven't found a good pencil. This one is one of the better ones, and will be using it again in the future.
